Building a Brand

Aquila is a fictional airline company I designed. The goal of this company is to create a relaxing and stress-free environment for its passengers. After choosing the goal I was tasked with developing a branding system that reflected the same ideals. I chose to name the company Aquila which is a constellation and the name is Latin for 'eagle'. In Mythology, the eagle represents the bird that carries Zeus's thunderbolts. I chose it because my airline will carry the passenger's anxiety.


"Our company goal is to create a travel experience that seeks to reduce stress instead of exasperating it."


The logo that I created for Aquila is based on the letter 'A' in combination with an airplane. I chose a blue color palette with muted, dusty shades, and used rounded edges in order to amplify the calming effect.

We strive to create a relaxing and stress-free environment for travelers to sit back in and enjoy the skies.

 

Target Audience

People who hate flying, and people looking for a different travel experience.

Creating an Identity

I created a set of deliverable including a stationery set, with a boarding pass and baggage tags, I also created an app, advertisements, and the airplane shown above. For the app, I chose to show the process of getting to one of the features of flying with Aquila airlines, mid-flight mindfulness meditations. For the Advertisements, I am communicating the message that even though you are in an airplane you won't feel it the same stresses.
